Michael Sable Bio

Michael Sable started working in the entertainment industry in the mailroom and then as an assistant at the William Morris Agency.  He moved into television production, and began his post career associate-producing television movies.  Prior to starting Indie Sound, Michael worked in sales and operations at Encore Video (where he supervised the video post for Wim Wenders' Oscar-nominated documentary "The Buena Vista Social Club"), and then ran the sales department at Mix Magic (where he worked on the Oscar nominated documentary “The Wildest Show in the South”, as well as many film festival-winning features and shorts). For five years, Michael was the Managing Director at Mercury Sound Studios.  He supervised the budgets, scheduling and delivery for over two hundred films, and he worked with, among others, directors Bruce Beresford, The Polish Brothers, David Ayer, Steve Miner, Tony Kaye, and the highly acclaimed documentary filmmakers Freida Lee Mock, Terry Sanders, and Arthur Dong.
