The release of the documentary “March of the Living" this Friday in Los Angeles and New York.

Focusing on a recent “March of the Living” journey, the film captures the story of the annual trips by Holocaust survivors with thousands of teens from around the world as they venture together to sites of the Holocaust and as they retrace the Death March from Auschwitz to Birkenau.

With images never filmed before (including aerial shots of Auschwitz), the film documents the courageous travels of survivors as they endeavor to pass on their history and memory of the Holocaust to the next generation.

Jessica Sanders, an Oscar-nominated (“Sing”) and Sundance award-winning (“After Innocence”) director and producer, directed the film. Jessica recently directed the popular commercial spots for iPad, as well as commercials for Sony and Toyota. LG Tubaldini Jr. produced the movie, and Brian Johnson (“Countdown to Zero”, “Buena Vista Social Club”) edited the picture.

Indie Sound managed the audio post for the film, with Sam Lehmer handling double duty as sound editor and Re-recording mixer. The film was mixed on Stage A at Lotus Post in Santa Monica.

The film will be playing from September 24th through September 30th at the
Laemmle Sunset 5 in Los Angeles, 3:00 pm and 8:30 pm daily (www.laemmle.com) and at the Village East Cinema in New York, 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm daily. (www.villageeastcinema.com).
