Indie Sound Congratulates
. . . the filmmakers of "The Tsunami and The Cherry Blossom" on their Oscar nomination in this year's Documentary Short Subject category.
Congrats to director/producer Lucy Walker, producer Kira Carstensen, editor Aki Mizutani, director of photography Aaron Phillips, Moby for his music and all of those involved in the production of the film.

Awarded the Jury Prize in Short Film, Non-Fiction at Sundance 2012, "The Tsunami and The Cherry Blossom" is a film of renewal and hope - - a poignant and beautiful cinematic poem about and for the survivors of the 2011 Japanese tsunami who begin to rebuild their lives just as the revered cherry blossom season begins.

There are currently several opportunities to catch the film and this year's other nominees in the Documentary/Short Subject category on a big screen in a theater for both Academy members and the general public.
